Origins and Use of this Website

At the end of 2012, a group of Great Horwood and Singleborough residents published a book entitled Great Horwood Past & Present. The brainchild of the late Monica Jones, the book included chapters about many aspects of the history of the village as well as information about Great Horwood in what was then the present day. We sold all the copies of our book and decided to use the proceeds to set up a website to bring our work to a wider audience and to promote and facilitate further research into the History of Great Horwood and Singleborough.

Please enjoy browsing the website but, if you use any of our material in your own publications, please make sure to reference the author(s). Please don't copy or republish any of the photographs that are marked as copyright or as the property of named individuals or organisations. If in doubt, please contact me for further guidance.

Thank you very much for your co-operation.
